Mueller Implement has an opening for a full time, experienced small engine service technician to work on various equipment. (Diesel knowledge a plus)
Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and repair: diesel, gasoline and small engines
· Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions
· Maintains a clean and safe work area
· Provides assistance in troubleshooting repairs to other technicians
· Maintains paperwork documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner
· Documents labor, addition of segments, assuring that work order can be closed and billed as communicated with the customer
· Communicate effective with customers in a positive, supportive and timely manner
· Performs other duties as assigned/required (Rental, Sales and Parts departments)
· Discuss use and features of various equipment, based on knowledge of machines or equipment
Minimum physical requirements- Working conditions mainly indoor, occasionally outdoor conditions. Push/pull, lift carry up to 80 lbs. Standing, kneeling, using hands, hearing, reaching.
Qualifications:
· 2 years technical degree or several years of comparable shop mechanic experience
· 2+ years of relevant small engine repair experience
· 2+ years of relevant gasoline and small engine repair experience is a Major Plus
· Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical
· Ability of working independently, effectively managing his or her time and work flow
· Basic computer skills
· Written and verbal communication skills
· Good Drivers license record
· Own mechanic tool set a plus
